Vision Statement

MCC's Asian Pacific Initiative seeks to cultivate and nourish relationships with people of Asian and Pacific Islands descent, building vibrant, liberating Christian communities that are supportive of gender and sexual minorities and which respect the spiritual journeys of all.

 Mission:

1. Nurture hope and healing

2. Strengthen faith

3. Establish relationships with seminaries in Asia to develop local leadership

4. Provide resources to local churches and leaders

5. Provide opportunities to communicate in person and by internet

API Highlights of 2010

-- API was especially pleased to sponsor three lesbian women in Pakistan to attend trade school thanks to the generosity of our donors.
-- API sponsored the first REVM (Readiness to Enter Vocational Ministry) in Asia with six students participating
-- API travelled to the Philippines to work with our churches, and Elder Martin went on to Malaysia to meet with Rev. Joe Pang

We continue to have potential and current ministry, and contacts in numerous countries and are planning some focused work and events for 2011 and 2012.

We appreciate your generous support in making these things happen!
