Candy Holmes (MCC DC, Washington, DC, USA) has been invited to join the National Black Justice Coalition's (NBJC) inaugural Leadership Advisory Council (LAC) and has been asked to lead the Religion and Faith Team. NBJC is a national civil and transgender (LGBT) people rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered individuals. The LAC is comprised of 40 distinguished and exemplary leaders chosen because of their interest, fortitude, thought leadership, and commitment to equality. The purpose of the LAC is to strategically assess strategies and tactics with the intention to broaden NBJC's reach and to more effectively tell the stories of Black LGBT peoples.
