Thank you!!!—A HUGE Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to our finances over the past few weeks. We have paid our quarterly taxes and are grateful to you and to God for all that has been given to us!!! MANY THANKS to everyone who continues to do the work behind the scenes to make this church go. Special thanks to those who organized and worked on the Fall Festival and Halloween Party!!!
Board Meeting—After church today we will be having our monthly Board of Directors meeting. Please join us to find out more about the workings behind the scenes of the church.
Committee Openings—We have openings on the following committees and boards: 1 opening on the Board of Trustees, 3 openings on the Mortgage Retirement Committee, and 3 openings on the finance committee. Please see the Board of Directors if you are interested in serving on any of these committees. You must have been a member of the church for at least 6 months in order to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Dessert Auction: It's time again to dust off your recipe books! Get ready to make your Great Aunt Fred's famous upside down and inside out blueberry peach cake or you cousin's nephew's raspberry rhubarb pie! Make your favorite dessert and bring your checkbooks! Enjoy the fun of a live auction for your desserts! Sunday Nov 22nd after worship. The proceeds from this sale will go towards the conference fund which will enable the pastor and the lay delegate to attend the conference in 2010 in Alcapulco. Ole!!
Core Values—Thank you to everyone who has helped us discern our core values. Please see the attached labyrinth to learn more about our core values. Our next step is to contact people who have been part of our church in the past, but who are no longer attending and ask them to help us discern our core values. We will be meeting after church on Sunday, November 8 to continue our discussion on this topic.
Thanksgiving Dinner— Thank you to all those who helped in the planning of this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving together on Thursday, November 26 at 3:00 p.m. Please sign up to bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish.
Finances—God has blessed us each and every day of our lives. We are so grateful for everyone’s financial contributions to the church. We need $2080 per week this week to pay our bills. Please respond as you are able. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously!! More info will be updated Sunday. Once again thank you for your support
Dinner at the Hidden Door—On Sunday, November 8, we will be serving dinner at the Hidden Door from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. We will be serving Barbecue Beef. Yummy!!!
Transgender Day of Remembrance—On Sunday, November 15, we will be celebrating the gifts of the transgender community and remembering those who have died as a result of coming out. Lisa B. Lancaster will be leading worship on this day. .
Grab a Bite—Let’s all go out to lunch after church on Sunday, November 15. Place to be determined.
Weekly Bible Study: We have Bible Study every Wednesday at 6:00 PM. Please come and enjoy fun, spiritual food, and fellowship. ....
Goodshop.com: Goodshop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up

be supporting your favorite cause.....
T shirt's: We are selling T-shirts for $15 each. The sizes run from
small-3x to raise money for the Conference fund. See Andy or Pat.
We need help-On Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. the food pantry needshelpers to bring the food from the Food Bank to our church. We also need someone with a truck who is willing to help. Please see Chris if you can help with this vital ministry.....
Book Drive-We are collecting books and CD's and DVD's which will be sold to Half Price Books. This will help us raise money for the Saturday night fun
activities. Please see Lisa for more information.....
Sound System-If you would like to assist with the sound system or the
PowerPoint presentation, especially when Tom and Andy are out of town, see
Pastor Carol or Tom or Andy to sign up. Tom and/or Andy will train you
before you are expected to "fly solo."....
Transgender Support Group-A monthly transgender support group is meetinghere. For more information, please see Lisa Lancaster.
Christ-Centered Prayer: A prayer group focusing on quiet listening is held
on Fridays at 9am. Yes, in the morning!!! Come and increase your peace.
Locher Food Pantry: CAN Openers-it's what we are collecting for October.
Also toiletry items, plastic grocery bags, are needed. We are grateful for
all your donations. Please keep them coming
Facebook group page: Our church now has a "Facebook" group page. A good
place to post church photos, prayer request, events, etc... The
possibilities are boundless. Search facebook, then log in or sign up. Then
search for MCC of Corpus Christi and join the group.....
Game Night—On Saturday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. we will have Game Night. Please feel free to bring your favorite games, friends, and good food.
Movie Night—On Saturday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. we will have Movie Night. Please let Howie know if you have a holiday movie that you want to want. Please bring friends, and good food.
Christ Centered Prayer Retreats at
Rev. Sandy Casey-Martus, leader, invites all to come and experience the peace that an extended prayer session offers. To register for retreats, contact Nita Shaver, Director of the
World AIDS Day—The Coastal Bend AIDS foundation invites you to an open house on Tuesday, December 1 from 5;30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Playhouse. There will be an art show to raise money to assist those living with AIDS.
Commemorating World AIDS Worship—A labyrinth walk and AIDS day commemoration will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church. Anyone who wants to bring a picture of a loved one or who wants someone’s name listed at the service, please contact Pastor Carol. Also, anyone interested in playing an instrument is invited to contact Pastor Carol. There will be soft music playing during the walking of the labyrinth.
