It’s as simple as that! | | | | | | | LEADERSHIP PULSE | Staff Update Many of you have asked about a possible misprint in a previous announcement regarding Rev. Elder Lillie Brock serving half-time as Consulting Pastor for Resurrection MCC, Houston, Texas, USA, in addition to her full-time role as an Elder. This information was correct and a short-term solution. She completed her contract with the church at the end of January. We cannot thank Rev. Brock enough for her dual service to both the denomination and a local church during a transition period. | | | THANK YOU | From Rev. Elder Cecilia Eggleston Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, I just wanted to say a very heartfelt "Thank you" to each of you that has been holding me in prayer, sent emails or cards since the death of my beloved Monica. It has been wonderful to hear from friends and colleagues from around the world. However, what has been the most astounding and most deeply touching have been the cards and messages from individuals and congregations that I do not know at all. The kindness of strangers truly has been remarkable and has been a great comfort to me. As an Elder, I have often been asked the perfectly reasonable question, "Why should we belong to MCC?" There are, of course, many answers to this question. For me, in this time of grief and journeying in a new landscape, the answer is "so that we don't journey alone." Thank you again for your continued prayers and support. I hope that 2012 is a year of great blessing for each of you. | | | | | | | | MINISTRY FOCUS | 2012 MEN'S CONFERENCE | | 2012 YOUNG ADULT GATHERING | 14-16 March 2012 San Diego, California The host church is MCC San Diego (California, USA), and the theme is Holy Trust: Building a Lasting Bond!
