This Week At MCC of CC

God gives each of us a new day with a new sunrise so if we need a new beginning we will be off to a good start.

Let someone know what's going on at God's House.

The Annual Congregational Forum: The Congregational Forum is today at 1:00PM. Grab a bite, chat with a friend, make a new friend then join us back in the sanctuary for the forum. Come and meet your candidates.

The Annual Congregational Meeting: The Congregational Meeting will be held on Oct 21st at 1:00PM immediately following our pot luck.

Speaking of Pot Luck: We are having a pot luck prior to our Annual Congregational Meeting on Oct. 21st. Bring your favorite dish along with your appetite. Happy Eating.

Meeting of Spiritual Education Group: We will be meeting this Wednesday to listen to Joyce Meyers on CD. Come join us as we learn more about our Saviors love. We meet every Wednesday at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall at the Church.

Volunteers Needed: We are looking for committed volunteers for the office and food pantry. We need one full staff office volunteer and two substitute office volunteers. The food pantry is in need of three committed assistant volunteers for distribution. Anyone interested in dedicating their time and talents to this great cause please contact Annette, or call the office and leave your name and contact number.

Calling All Music Lovers: Can you or someone you know play a musical instrument? Share your talent with your Brothers and Sisters down at the 501. That is MCC at 501 S. Staples.

Exciting News from the Mortgage Retirement Committee: We are having our "$52.00 Dinner" on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Admission will be $52.00 ($1.00 for each week of the year). There will be good food, fun and entertainment! And yes, we take payments. See Mary Jo Smith, Dale Wulf, or Andy Wilcox for more information.
And, the Vending Machine Committee is joining in and has placed cans and bottles in the soda machine with $5.00 off coupons on them. This will entitle you to $5.00 off your admission to the $52.00 dinner. We have already had several folks find the drinks with the $5.00 off, there are more in there. Who will be the next one to find the bottle or can?

MCC's 2nd Annual Fall Festival: On October 27th, TRE and MCCofCC will be having MCC's 2nd Annual Fall Festival for the church and community. Adults and kids of all ages are welcome.
